Puppy Care Guide
Bringing home a new puppy is exciting. This guide covers the basics to help your puppy settle in comfortably, including feeding, grooming, training, safety, and what to expect during the first few days at home.
Getting Your Puppy Home.
The first few days are all about helping your puppy feel safe and settled. Keep things calm, follow the feeding routine you were given, provide a cozy sleeping area, and give your puppy time to adjust to new people, sounds, and surroundings. The Mom-scented blanket can stay nearby during rest time to offer a familiar scent.
Health & Grooming
Continue your puppy’s routine veterinary care and keep all health records in a safe place. Regular brushing, nail trims, ear checks, and coat care will help your puppy stay comfortable. Ask your veterinarian about the appropriate schedule for vaccinations, parasite prevention, and other routine care.
Training & Safety
Start with simple routines and lots of patience. Give your puppy frequent potty breaks, introduce crate time gradually, and use positive reinforcement for good behavior. Keep cords, medications, cleaners, small objects, and unsafe foods out of reach, and supervise your puppy closely while they explore their new home.
Pickup Day!
Pickup day is an exciting step. Please bring a secure carrier or leash, water for the trip home, cleanup supplies, and remaining cash deposit. Before you leave, we’ll make sure you have your puppy’s feeding information, available health record if after 8-week-olds and personal blanket scented by Mom. Plan for a calm ride home and give your puppy plenty of time to rest and adjust after arrival.
**Early pickup window is 8/18/2026 until 9/1/2026. And you are responsible for 1st shots during this time frame**
On 9/2/2026 all prices will increase if not paid in full and/or your puppy is not picked up by 9/6/2026
